The Impact of Your Gift
In South Africa, a sewing class brought together 60 women who are refugees from different backgrounds to learn a marketable skill so they can provide for their families. Not only did they learn to sew—they also studied the Bible together and built friendships. And seven women accepted Jesus as their Savior and Lord! As they graduated, starter sewing machines were given—each one to be shared by two students. One student with a heart and talent to sew, started her own small business. She did so well that she was able to buy her own sewing machine, eventually rent a small shop, and begin teaching more women how to sew.
